For ChromoPHOBIA (2019), I wanted to make a score that used modern atmospheric elements like Session 9 and the pre-Jordan Peele Blumhouse movies but still leaned into a melodic theme like classic horror like The Exorcist. I used a ‘70s tape delay as a nod to Alien and a ‘70s Fender Rhodes and a sprinkle of rock drums to give it some style as a nod to Phantasm (one of my favorite scores).
